An easy, inexpensive and completely legal
approach to stop that phone from ringing...

Is it for real? How does it work?

It's simple. When a collector calls, you use the Phone Script (it's free with your order) to collect specific information. You have every right to request this information, and they are required by law to give it to you.

You then use their own information against them in your copy of the Credit Call Protection Letter. Print out the letter and pop it into the mail.

The collection agency is now legally obligated to comply with your wishes because of the precise language and wording incorporated into the letter. You don't have to do anything else.

Why does it work?

Collection agencies have no choice, they are required to follow specific Congressionally-mandated procedures when collecting debts. This letter incorporates the precise wording that prevents them from making further calls to you both at work AND at home! They simply must comply with your request to stop calling.

However, if you fail to use these very-specific phrases, this precise wording, they can skirt the law and continue to harrass you! I know, because I read the FDCA and I tried to fend off the collection agencies myself for several months. Then I complained about the calls to some of my friends during our Thursday night poker game.

One of them is a lawyer who understands the Federal Trade Commission laws on debt collection. As a favor (well... ok, he lost with 3 Kings to my Full House) he drafted this letter for me. My phone stopped ringing. It was amazing.

Is it legal?

Absolutely 100% legal. As a consumer, you are protected under the law from illegal and underhanded collection practices. You have every right to safeguard the peace and sanctity of your home and your workplace. Collection agents know it...and now you know it too.

Does it work in my state?

Yes. This letter works in every state in the United States of America. Use Federal laws to defend yourself.

Does it work internationally?

No. Foreign countries are not covered under US law. Consult an attorney in your jurisdiction.

Do I have to be a US Citizen?

No. Everyone is protected - even undocumented workers can benefit. These laws apply to collection agencies operating in the US.

What if collectors continue to call?

The vast majority of the time, they won't. It's just too risky for them. Rarely, a collection agency will choose to act in disregard of the law. In these rare cases, you do have recourse. You can sue them.

You could collect up to $1,000 for each call you receive from the agency after they receive your Credit Call Protection Letter. It's all in laid out in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
